Jane Choi is a founding principal and design director at c2 | studio, setting the vision and rationale that gives our work its unique, distinctive edge. Her design process is grounded in a philosophy of understanding the unique cultural history of a site, the natural phenomena at work and the client’s needs and desires in order to synthesize a comprehensive design solution that bridges many competing forces to create a dynamic, cohesive landscape environment.
Jane is active as an advocate for the profession, having served on the advisory board for ArchitectureBoston magazine, as a member of the Boston Society of Architects’ Women Principals in Design, and as a member of the Asian American Designers’ Forum, for which she served as co-chair of the Exhibitions Committee. Her academic credentials include a past adjunct faculty position at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, where along with numerous other institutions, she also served as an invited design critic. She is currently an assistant professor in the Landscape Architecture Program at Colorado State University, where she teaches courses for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as engaging in various research projects.
Jane earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Environmental Design from Parsons The New School for Design and her Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, earning honors for highest achievement in design from both institutions.
